ACT Team Explores New ACT Track

We are thrilled to announce the release of the seventh ACT Track, specifically designed for use with adventure bikes. This time, the team has developed a track in Croatia, promising an unforgettable adventure away from the beaten tourist paths.

Adventure Country Tracks provide an opportunity to experience the authentic spirit of a country, exploring as many unpaved routes as possible and deviating from the usual tourist routes. ACT Adventure Country Tracks e.V., a registered association formed by a team of enthusiastic adventure riders, aims to connect the last legally accessible gravel tracks in Europe, creating attractive routes through selected regions. All association members gain access to GPS data and extensive travel information.

ACT Croatia

Together with motorcycle icon Charley Boorman, who has joined the project for the second time, and with the support of strong industry partners, the ACT Team ventured through Croatia from Pula to Split in early July, experiencing the approximately 1000-kilometer challenging track for the first time.

The ACT Croatia Track offers a spectacular adventure journey through Croatia’s diverse and picturesque landscapes. Over a period of 5 days, the track led the team to Split through breathtaking scenery, providing fantastic views along the way.

ACT members embarking on the ACT Croatia Track can look forward to encountering longer sections of deep gravel, releasing additional adrenaline not only while traversing old minefields but also while passing through mountain ridges, waterfalls, and forests that served as backdrops for the famous Winnetou films. Every moment along the track is filled with excitement and thrill.

As a crowning highlight, the detour to Hvar Island on the last day rewards the efforts of the challenging days that required absolute concentration. Hvar Island offers a unique environment with more spectacular views, contributing to the fulfillment of the sense of adventure.

This demanding track is already considered one of the ACT tracks with the highest off-road content, sure to make adventure enthusiasts’ hearts beat faster. Track Manager Filipe Elias commented, “With ACT Croatia, we have probably been able to develop one of the best tracks to date. It was fantastic to assess the feasibility and difficulty level together with the team on-site, and I look forward to presenting the final track in January. Future ACT Croatia Finishers can expect an unforgettable adventure that will lead them through the fascinating landscapes of Croatia and provide an opportunity to showcase their off-road skills.”

Strong Partners Enabling the ACT Project

This year, the association is pleased to collaborate with Touratech, Yamaha, Harley-Davidson, REV’IT!, Edelweiss Bike Travel, NEXX, Sena, Metzeler, Good Souls, and Overlanders. Additionally, Ford, KTM, Husqvarna, Triumph, and Garmin have joined as additional strong partners. Elvio Andrade, ACT founding member and board member, emphasized, “We are proud to have partnered with organizations that share our passion for adventure and exploration, supporting us in making the experience of adventure, freedom, and life tangible and sustainable.”

The official ACT Croatia film will be released during Christmas, and the corresponding track will be available for download to all association members in January.
