Community at the Heart of the ACT Camp

Press Release

With around 180 participants from across Europe, Adventure Country Tracks (ACT) celebrated not only another successful ACT Camp from July 2 to 5, 2026, but also the 10th anniversary of the European adventure riding community. On the grounds of MSC Kleinhau in Hürtgenwald, the event focused on off-road adventures, riding techniques, shared learning, and above all: an extraordinary community.

Visitors to the ACT Camp quickly notice that competition or self-promotion is not the focus here. Instead, helpfulness, mutual respect, and a shared passion for adventure riding set the tone.

“I have rarely experienced such a wonderful community. Everyone helps each other – whether setting up tents or out on the track. There’s no competition or comparisons. We are simply all adventure riders.” This is how one of the participants summed up the weekend.

This sense of community was especially evident on the challenging off-road terrain. To ensure support was always available on the technical sections, participants could volunteer in advance as course marshals for specific time slots. This meant that help was immediately available whenever needed. If a motorcycle toppled in the sand or on an incline, it usually only took a few seconds before several helpers were on hand. This solidarity is what made the ACT Camp such a special experience for many participants.

A particular highlight was the ACT Ride & Train sessions. Four experienced instructors, who also lead the new ACT Ride & Train tours, shared their training concept under real conditions. Riding fully loaded adventure motorcycles, participants tackled the 1.8-kilometer motocross track. Many initially approached this challenge with great caution. Yet with each lap, their confidence grew. By the end of the two days, pride, enthusiasm, and countless happy faces prevailed. The Ride & Train trainers were almost continuously on duty throughout the weekend, supporting beginners and advanced riders alike with patience and passion.

Beyond the training, the varied program also generated excitement. The Continental Tire Roll, the REV’IT! Water Challenge, the Cardo Blind Race, the NEXX Balance Course, and the popular Touratech Slow Motion Contest all emphasized skill, teamwork, and above all, lots of fun. The NavCademy GeoCaching Challenge powered by Garmin was another big hit. Using a prepared GPX track, participants had to locate hidden checkpoints in the Eifel. The challenge partners provided prizes worth a total of around €3,000.

An emotional highlight was the premiere of the new “10 Years Anniversary Movie.” The anniversary film reflects on the development of Adventure Country Tracks and shows how, from a single route in 2016, it has grown into a Europe-wide community that now connects riders, regions, and partners across borders. The film is now available on the official ACT YouTube channel at: YouTube/10YearsofACT

With the ACT Camp 2026, Adventure Country Tracks celebrated not just a successful event but also ten years of shared adventure. What began in 2016 with a single route has evolved into a Europe-wide movement embodying responsible adventure riding, mutual respect, and true community. The anniversary camp clearly demonstrated that this sense of community will remain at the heart of ACT in the future.
