The rugged Tread® 2 off-road sat nav offers an ultrabright and glove-friendly 6” touchscreen. Built for extreme weather, you can roam on dirt and snow without worry. This sat nav includes preloaded topographic maps with 3D terrain and street maps for Europe, Africa including Tracks4Africa and Middle East (North and South America, Australia and New Zealand are available as free downloads via the device map manager). Plus, see vivid overhead views of your route with satellite imagery.
With the numerous mapping options available from Garmin, your journey off the beaten path has never looked clearer. Easily plan a custom route with a faster time or more adventurous routing in mind on the device, or use the Tread app with a compatible smartphone. Select custom routing features such as curves, hills or scenic byways. You can also import your own or shared route via GPX, KML or KMZ files. If you activate an Outdoor Maps+ plan with a compatible device, you can explore confidently with high-detail topographic maps, slope angle, slope aspect and more.
Tread 2 offers built-in sensors including an altimeter, barometer and compass (ABC sensors) and pitch and roll gauges.
It’s also compatible with the Handlebar Controller, which offers more convenient sat nav control from your handlebars. For riding with a group, track up to 20 friends from your compatible smartphone or Tread device when you and your friends use the Tread app’s group ride mobile. When riding outside of cellular coverage, pair your sat nav to a Group Ride Tracker to be able to see your group. Or for communication convenience make it hands-free by pairing your compatible Garmin device with your separate Bluetooth®-enabled helmet or headset.
