Severe storms and unknown damage on the ACT Italy

Dear ACT members and riders.

As you have surely heard from the media, Italy is currently hit by severe storms that have not only left massive damage to the infrastructure, but also cost many Italians their homes, farms and lives. We are of the opinion that out of respect for the people and the helpers, this region should currently be avoided until the situation has eased. After that, help through reasonable tourism is certainly good and helpful, but it takes time. An assessment of the damage to the track is impossible from the current point of view.

In particular, the region of Emilia Romagna with Bologna, the starting point of the track are affected, but also the province of Ravenna, as well as Piemont.

The rain is expected to continue for the next few days, which may cause further damage. According to german news agencies, the areas of Bologna, Ravenna and Forli-Cesena are particularly affected. The Foreign Office has issued a travel advisory due to the current situation. https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/de/ReiseUndSicherheit/italiensicherheit/211322

We ask you to refrain from traveling to the region and to pay attention to the information in the media. We will try to keep you up to date.

Thank you very much
The ACT Team
