FAQ – ACT Ride & Train

  1. IS ACT RIDE & TRAIN A TRAINING COURSE OR A GUIDED TOUR?

ACT Ride & Train is a guided off-road event with integrated coaching and feedback elements directly on the track. It is neither a classic beginner’s training course nor a tourist motorcycle tour, but rather a structured off-road experience with a training character.

  1. IS ACT RIDE & TRAIN SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS?

No. ACT Ride & Train is explicitly not a beginner’s training course. Participants must have basic off-road experience and be able to control their motorbike safely on gravel and unpaved surfaces.

  1. HOW DEMANDING IS THE EVENT?

ACT Ride & Train spans several consecutive days of riding. Participants should be prepared for physically and mentally demanding off-road riding. The length and intensity of the route may vary depending on the terrain, weather conditions and group dynamics.

  1. WHAT TYPE OF MOTORBIKE IS REQUIRED?

Participants ride their own road-legal, insured and technically sound motorcycles that are suitable for off-road use. Motorcycle rental is not part of the event.

  1. WHAT TYRES ARE RECOMENNDED?

We recommend at least 50/50 off-road tyres. The tyres should be able to withstand the length of the track and provide sufficient grip. Participation with pure road tyres is not possible.

  1. IS IT A RACE OR A COMPETIOTION?

No. ACT Ride & Train is a guided group ride and not a competition. Riding must be done responsibly and in accordance with the applicable regulations. The instructions of the ACT instructors and guides must be followed at all times.

  1. HOW DOES NAVIGATION WORK?

All riders receive a GPX track for each day of riding. Waypoints such as petrol stations, restaurants and checkpoints are integrated. Navigation is also possible with smartphone apps (e.g. Locus Map). As ACT Ride & Train is a group event, independent riding outside the group is not permitted.

  1. HOW IS CATERIN ORGANISED?

Each rider is responsible for their own catering during the day. Stops are planned at suitable points so that all participants can get something to eat and drink.

  1. IS THERE A SUPPORT VEHICLE?

No. ACT Ride & Train is carried out without an escort or luggage vehicle. Participants transport their personal luggage themselves on their motorbikes.

  1. WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

The price includes: guided ACT Ride & Train Experience, integrated coaching elements, support from certified ACT instructors/guides, tour planning and organisation, accommodation and two group dinners. Details are listed in the service description.

  1. WHAT ARE THE TERMS OF PAYMENT?

By completing the booking process, the participant makes a binding offer. The travel contract is concluded upon receipt of the travel confirmation. The travel confirmation is sent in text form together with the legally required travel insurance certificate. A deposit of 20% of the travel price is payable during the booking process. The remaining payment is due no later than 6 weeks before the start of the event. Further details are set out in the terms and conditions of participation.

  1. WILL I RECEIVE A TRAVEL SECURITY CERTIFICATE?

Yes. ACT Ride & Train is organised as a package tour. With the travel confirmation, participants receive the legally required travel security certificate in accordance with § 651r BGB (German Civil Code).

  1. CAN I CANCEL MY BOOKING?

Yes. Withdrawal from the contract is possible at any time. The cancellation fees incurred depend on the time of withdrawal and are specified in the terms and conditions of participation. ACT expressly recommends taking out suitable travel cancellation insurance.

  1. CAN I TRANSFER MY PLACE TO ANOTHER PERSON?

Yes. A suitable replacement can be provided until the start of the trip, provided that they meet the participation requirements. Further details are specified in the terms and conditions of participation.

  1. IS THERE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS?

Yes. The event will take place with a minimum of 6 participants. If this number is not reached, ACT e.V. reserves the right to cancel the event no later than 21 days before the start. Any payments already made will be refunded in full.

  1. WHAT HAPPENS IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER OR UNFORESEEN EVENTS?

ACT Ride & Train takes place under real conditions. Weather, official requirements or exceptional circumstances may necessitate adjustments to the route, the schedule or cancellation. In such cases, the statutory regulations and the conditions of participation apply.

  1. HOW IS LIABILITY REGULATED?

ACT e.V.’s liability is governed by the statutory provisions of package travel law. ACT Ride & Train is an off-road event with increased personal risk. Details regarding liability are regulated in the conditions of participation and in a separate liability waiver.

  1. IS IT POSSIBLE TO BOOK THE TOUR EXCLUSIVELY?

Yes. Closed groups have the option of booking an ACT Ride & Train event exclusively.

This requires a sufficient group size and early coordination regarding dates, region and organisational framework. The specific details are arranged individually upon consultation.
