Do you know this too? You download one of the provided GPX files full of anticipation for your next adventure and then you are disappointed to find that the file cannot be used without further ado. Furthermore, it contains things you did not expect.
When navigating, the sat nav doesn’t work as usual: it doesn’t give turn-by-turn instructions, it doesn’t show the estimated time of arrival or the remaining distance, and if you leave the route you’re not automatically guided back to it.
To ensure that your next adventure doesn’t turn out too adventurously, we recommend taking the online course ‘Track Navigation’. The online course is conducted by our partner NavCademy (www.navcademy.com).
In the course, you will learn what makes a track and how it differs from a route. Together with other off-road enthusiasts, you will see how you can organise the data we provide so that you always have an overview. Finally, we will demonstrate how the whole thing is displayed on different sat navs and apps using a few specific examples.
Once you understand the basic principles of track navigation, you will be amazed at how easy it is to ride a track. Suddenly, you will experience off-road riding much more intensely and have much more fun because navigation is almost a secondary matter.
You can find more details about the online course ‘Track Navigation’ at Jan´s website.
Just to let you know: an english cours will be soon available.
Don’t be afraid to speak to Jan directly. The more he realizes that an English course is necessary, the faster we can get it done ☺️
